SMALL STEPS LEAD TO BIG CHANGES

day 7

“It always seems impossible, until it is done.”

 – Nelson Mandela

The seventh day… the day which had magic power to start turning “impossible things” to quiet realistic projects to be done.

The seventh day of the Youth Peace Camp 2018 was devoted to the action plans of participants, which turned out to be quite impressive and change-promising. During the first session, participants of the camp has acquired a chance to get familiarized with opportunities of European Youth Foundation through facilitation of Karen Palisser  – member of the Secretariat of EYF. They were provided with the knowledge on policies and priorities of the particular foundation related to the grant decisions on local and international initiatives. After this, five different corners were designated for them to convey information about European Voluntary Service, Erasmus+, Council of Europe publications, national training courses on Human Rights Education, and “Youth Peace Ambassadors” program.

And then… Time has come to think about small steps that will cause big changes…

In the second session, participants had started to develop their ideas on follow-up activities which presented during the bi-community meetings that were held within the framework of the last session of the day.

In the middle of these two sessions participants has acquired the opportunity for capacity-building with two rounds of four parallel sessions – Public Speaking, Project Development and Management, “Elevator Pitch”, Campaign Planning and Delivering.

The last reflection groups of the Youth Peace Camp 2018 have been remembered with sweet sadness and high hopes…

Sweet sadness that the Camp is approaching to the end…

High hopes for following planned activities…

One day left till grande finale…
